11 Artisan Partners
We are proud to collaborate with eleven talented artisan partners, all of whom are members of the Navajo Nation and reside in New Mexico. Each artisan brings their own unique skills and cultural heritage to our jewelry.
There is something unique about handcrafted jewelry. Something impossible to replicate. The hand who makes the piece forms a deep connection with the hand who wears it. Our mission is to keep artisan craft alive, preserve the Southwest’s rich cultural knowledge for future generations, and honor the land that binds us all.
We partner with eleven artisans in New Mexico, who handloom each and every piece using skills passed down through generations. Each beaded bracelet is a testament to their dedication, blending traditional techniques with personal stories and artistry. They work on their on time, in their own spaces, and earn a living wage for their work. By respecting the creativity and technique of each artisan, we are able to help support their independence in a way that works for them.
Our pieces draw inspiration from the American Southwest, where the rugged beauty of deserts, mountains, and mesas meets the vibrant traditions of its indigenous peoples. We source our materials as mindfully as possible so that our products respect the land and its inhabitants.
Think of Etkie products as ethical elegance. We combine modern design with meticulous craftsmanship to create truly one-of-a-kind statement pieces. Artisans spend countless hours crafting each piece with their own personal touch and technique. It’s even said that they leave part of their spirit inside each bracelet they loom. With every Etkie purchase, you are supporting meaningful income opportunities for our artisans, their families, and communities.
We make luxury products that preserve the culture, tradition, and craftsmanship of the American Southwest. Each Etkie collection is both an exploration of the artisans’ heritage and a revival of ancient techniques that have been passed down through generations. In partnership with artisans, we can both honor this important culture and also revive a timeless artwork.
There’s truly nothing like an Etkie cuff. They are statement pieces at their finest. Distinctive designs and colorful combinations embody the natural beauty of the Southwest and the ancient cultures of its earliest peoples. But perhaps the most beautiful thing about our bracelets is that they directly benefit the people who make them.
